1. Apply the parking brake, and use wheel stoppers to hold the wheel in place.

2. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

3. Set the drive select lever to the HI position.

4. Remove the knob.

5. Remove the console box.

6. Remove the bolts which install the drive select lever COMPL to the vehicle body.

7. Remove the flange nut and clip, and disconnect the cable from the lever COMPL.
