PROCEDURE

1. WITH SUBARU SELECT MONITOR

CAUTION:

Subaru Select Monitor Kit is required for reading DTC, performing diagnosis and reading current data.

Remove foreign matter (dust, water, oil, etc.) from the body integrated unit connector during removal and installation.

For model with the keyless access system, registration of the immobilizer may be required after a replacement of the control unit, etc. For details, refer to the “PC application help for Subaru Select Monitor”.

NOTE:

Using the Function Setting (Customize), check that the keyless access system is not in a cancelled state.

Use the interview check list to interview the user.

STEPCHECKYESNO

1.CHECK BATTERY.

Use a tester to measure the battery voltage.

Is the voltage 11 V or more?

Charge or replace the battery and perform check pre-inspection.

2.CHECK PRE-INSPECTION.

1) Use the interview check list to interview the user.

Was the symptoms of the trouble recorded in the interview?

Interview the user again.

3.BASIC INSPECTION.

Check the DTC of the LAN system.

Is LAN system normal?

Follow the DTC of the LAN system to repair or replace.

4.CHECK TROUBLE SYMPTOM.

1) Read the DTC of the keyless access system (Collation CM, power supply CM and gateway CM).

NOTE:

If the communication function of the Subaru Select Monitor cannot be executed properly, check the communication circuit.

2) Record all DTCs and freeze frame data.

Is a DTC displayed on the Subaru Select Monitor?

Perform diagnosis according to the DTC.

5.CHECK PHENOMENON LIST.

Check the “Phenomenon List”.

Is there a symptom that corresponds in the phenomenon list?

Perform diagnosis according to the procedures in the phenomenon list.

6.CHECK TROUBLE PHENOMENON.

1) Perform check of current data.

2) Perform a function check.

3) Perform an isolated part check.

Was the trouble cause found?

Repair the cause of trouble.

Repeat a basic check again.
