DTC B2117 P SIGNAL ABNORMAL

DTC DETECTING CONDITION:

There is a mismatch in the analog and serial parking signals input into the power supply CM.

WIRING DIAGRAM:

1.CHECK HARNESS.

1) Disconnect the power supply CM connector.

2) Using a tester, check continuity between the power supply CM connector and chassis ground.

(B420) No. 6 — Chassis ground:

(B420) No. 40 — Chassis ground:

Is there continuity?

Repair or replace the open circuit of harness.

2.CHECK PARKING SWITCH.

When shifting to a parking range, check continuity between the power supply CM connector and chassis ground.

(B420) No. 5 — Chassis ground:

Does continuity change from Yes to No?

3.CHECK WIRING HARNESS.

1) Disconnect the AT select lever connector.

2) Using a tester, check continuity between the power supply CM connector and the AT select lever connector.

Connector & terminal

(B420) No. 5 — (B117) No. 1:

Is there continuity?

Repair or replace the open circuit of harness.

4.CHECK WIRING HARNESS.

Using a tester, check the continuity between the AT select lever connector and chassis ground.

Connector & terminal

(B117) No. 2 — (B117) No. 1:

Is there continuity?

Repair or replace the open circuit of harness.

5.CHECK CURRENT DATA.

1) Connect the disconnected connectors.

2) Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the power supply CM current data «Shift P signal» when the shift lever is operated.

Does the data change?

Check the parking switch ground circuit.

Replace the power supply CM.
