DTC B2004 SSP SYSTEM COMMUNICATION BUS BATTERY SHORT-CIRCUIT

DTC DETECTING CONDITION:

Communication circuits between the power supply CM, gateway CM and collation CM are shorted to power supply circuit.

TROUBLE SYMPTOM:

The keyless access function does not operate.

WIRING DIAGRAM:

1.CHECK DTC.

1) Disconnect the power supply CM connector.

2) Read gateway CM DTCs using the Subaru Select Monitor.

Is B2004 current malfunction?

2.CHECK POWER SUPPLY CM.

1) Disconnect the collation CM connector.

2) Using a tester, measure the voltage between the power supply CM and chassis ground.

(B420) No. 7 (+) — Chassis ground (−):

Is the voltage 1 V or less?

Replace the power supply CM.

Repair or replace the open or short circuit of the harness.

3.CHECK DTC.

1) Disconnect the collation CM connector.

2) Read gateway CM DTCs using the Subaru Select Monitor.

Is B2004 current malfunction?

Replace the gateway CM.

4.CHECK WIRING HARNESS.

Using a tester, measure the voltage between the collation CM connector and chassis ground.

(B421) No. 28 (+) — Chassis ground (−):

Is the voltage 1 V or less?

Repair or replace the short circuit of the harness.

5.CHECK WIRING HARNESS.

Using a tester, check continuity between the collation CM connector and chassis ground.

(B421) No. 28 — Chassis ground:

Is there continuity?

Replace the collation CM.

Repair or replace the open circuit of harness.
