KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS) > Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)
DTC DETECTING CONDITION:
Communication circuits between the power supply CM, gateway CM and collation CM are shorted to ground circuit.
TROUBLE SYMPTOM:
The keyless access function does not operate.
WIRING DIAGRAM:

1.CHECK WIRING HARNESS.
1) Disconnect the collation CM, gateway CM, and power supply CM connectors.
2) Using a tester, check the continuity between the connectors and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(B420) No. 7 — Chassis ground:
(B420) No. 24 — Chassis ground:
(B419) No. 12 — Chassis ground:

Repair or replace the short circuit of the harness.

2.CHECK COLLATION CM.
1) Connect the collation CM connector.
2) Using a tester, check the continuity between the connectors and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(B420) No. 7 — Chassis ground:
(B419) No. 12 — Chassis ground:

Replace the collation CM. 
|
|
3.CHECK POWER SUPPLY CM.
1) Disconnect the collation CM and power supply CM connectors.
2) Using a tester, check the continuity between the connectors and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(B421) No. 27 — Chassis ground:
(B419) No. 3 — Chassis ground:

Replace the power supply CM.

|
4.CHECK GATEWAY CM.
1) Disconnect the power supply CM and gateway CM connectors.
2) Using a tester, check the continuity between the connectors and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(B420) No. 24 — Chassis ground:
(B420) No. 26 — Chassis ground:

Replace the gateway CM. 
|
|
5.CHECK DTC.
1) Connect all the connectors.
2) Using the Subaru Select Monitor, clear the memory.
|
|
Perform diagnosis according to the DTC.
