DTC B2000 CAN-LS SYSTEM COMMUNICATION SUSPENSION DIAGNOSIS (BODY INTEGRATED UNIT)

DTC DETECTING CONDITION:

There is no low-speed CAN communication between the body integrated unit and the gateway CM.

TROUBLE SYMPTOM:

The keyless access function may not be operable.

WIRING DIAGRAM:

1.CHECK DTC.

Read gateway CM DTCs using the Subaru Select Monitor.

Is B2000 past malfunction?

Check the harness for an open or short circuit, and check the connection of the connectors.

2.CHECK WIRING HARNESS.

1) Disconnect the combination meter, body integrated unit, and gateway CM connectors.

2) Using a tester, check the continuity between connectors.

Is there continuity?

Repair or replace the open circuit of harness.

3.CHECK WIRING HARNESS.

Using a tester, check the continuity between the connectors and chassis ground.

(i84) No. 9 — Chassis ground:

Is there continuity?

Repair or replace the short circuit of the harness.

4.CHECK WIRING HARNESS.

Using a tester, measure the voltage between the connectors and chassis ground.

(B280) No. 6 (+) — Chassis ground (−):

(B281) No. 2 (+) — Chassis ground (−):

(i10) No. 2 (+) — Chassis ground (−):

Is the voltage 10 V or more?

Check the fuse, or repair or replace the open circuit in the harness.

5.CHECK WIRING HARNESS.

Using a tester, check the continuity between the connectors and chassis ground.

Is there continuity?

Repair or replace the open circuit of harness.

6.CHECK BODY INTEGRATED UNIT.

Check that door lock operates using the access key button.

Does the door lock/unlock?

Replace the gateway CM.

Replace the body integrated unit.

NOTE:

If replacing the body integrated unit does not resolve the malfunction, replace the gateway CM.
