DTC P0336 CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR “A” CIRCUIT RANGE/PERFORMANCE

DTC DETECTING CONDITION:

Detected when two consecutive driving cycles with fault occur.

TROUBLE SYMPTOM:

• Engine stalls.

• Failure of engine to start

CAUTION:

After servicing or replacing faulty parts, perform Clear Memory Mode and Inspection Mode .

1.CHECK CONDITION OF CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR.

Turn the ignition switch to OFF.

Is the crankshaft position sensor installation bolt tightened securely?

Tighten the crankshaft position sensor installation bolt securely.

2.CHECK CRANKSHAFT SENSOR PLATE.

Is there crack or damage in the crankshaft sensor plate teeth?

Replace the crankshaft sensor plate.

3.CHECK POOR CONTACT.

Check for poor contact of ECM connector and crankshaft position sensor connector.

Is there poor contact in ECM connector or crankshaft position sensor connector?

Repair the poor contact of ECM connector or crankshaft position sensor connector.

Replace the crankshaft position sensor.
