DTC P0403 EGR SYSTEM FAILURE (CIRCUIT DUTY)

DTC DETECTING CONDITION:

Detected when two consecutive driving cycles with fault occur.

TROUBLE SYMPTOM:

Exhaust gas purge performance deterioration

CAUTION:

After servicing or replacing faulty parts, perform Clear Memory Mode and Inspection Mode .

1.CHECK FOR ANY OTHER DTC ON DISPLAY.

Are DTCs other than P0403 and P0404 displayed?

Check the appropriate DTC using the “List of Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)”.

2.CHECK EGR CONTROL VALVE.

Check EGR control valve.

Is EGR control valve normal?

Repair poor contact of ECM connector, EGR control valve or coupling connector.

Replace EGR control valve.
