WIRING DIAGRAM:

STEPCHECKYESNO

1.CHECK POOR CONTACT.

Check for poor contact in ECM connector and clutch switch connector.

Is there poor contact in ECM connector or clutch switch connector?

Repair the poor contact of ECM connector or clutch switch connector.

2.CHECK POWER SUPPLY FOR CLUTCH SWITCH.

1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.

2) Disconnect the connector from clutch switch.

3) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

4) Measure the voltage between clutch switch connector and chassis ground.

Connector & terminal

(B107) No. 1 (+) — Chassis ground (−):

Is the voltage 10 V or more?

Check the following item and repair or replace if necessary.

Open circuit in power supply circuit

Short circuit to ground in power supply circuit

Blown out of fuse (No. 4)

Poor contact of joint connector

3.CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ECM AND CLUTCH SWITCH CONNECTOR.

1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.

2) Disconnect the connector from ECM.

3) Measure the resistance of harness between ECM connector and clutch switch connector.

Connector & terminal

(B134) No. 28 — (B107) No. 2:

Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?

Repair the open circuit of harness between ECM connector and clutch switch connector.

4.CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ECM AND CLUTCH SWITCH CONNECTOR.

Measure the resistance between clutch switch connector and chassis ground.

Connector & terminal

(B107) No. 2 — Chassis ground:

Is the resistance 1 MΩ or more?

Replace the clutch switch.

Repair the short circuit to ground in harness between ECM connector and clutch switch connector.
