DTC P1214 INJECTOR DRIVER (OVER CHARGE)

DTC DETECTING CONDITION:

Immediately at fault recognition

TROUBLE SYMPTOM:

Engine stalls.

CAUTION:

After servicing or replacing faulty parts, perform Clear Memory Mode and Inspection Mode .

1.CHECK FOR ANY OTHER DTC ON DISPLAY.

Is any other DTC displayed?

Check the appropriate DTC using the “List of Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)”.

2.CHECK POOR CONTACT.

Check for poor contact of the ECM connector and the fuel injector connector.

Is there poor contact of ECM connector or fuel injector connector?

Repair the poor contact of the ECM connector or fuel injector connector.

3.CHECK FUEL INJECTOR.

1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.

2) Disconnect the connector from all fuel injectors.

3) Measure the resistance between fuel injector terminals.

Terminals

No. 1 — No. 2:

Is the resistance 0.2 — 1 Ω?

Replace the faulty fuel injector.

4.CHECK DTC.

1) Clear the memory using the Subaru Select Monitor or general scan tool.

NOTE:

For detailed procedures, refer to “Clear Memory Mode”.

2) Perform the “Inspection Mode” to check DTC.

Is the same DTC as current diagnosis output?

Replace the ECM.

Even if DTC is detected, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.
