1.CHECK POWER SUPPLY OF DPF PRESSURE DIFFERENCE SENSOR.
1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2) Disconnect the connector from the DPF pressure difference sensor.
3) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
4) Measure the voltage between DPF pressure difference sensor connector and engine ground.
Connector & terminal
(B472) No. 1 (+) — Engine ground (−):
|
Is the voltage 4.5 V or more?
|
|
Repair the harness and connector.
NOTE:
In this case, repair the following item:
• Open circuit or short circuit to ground in harness between ECM connector and DPF pressure difference sensor connector
• Poor contact of ECM connector
• Poor contact of coupling connector
|
2.CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ECM AND DPF PRESSURE DIFFERENTIAL SENSOR CONNECTOR.
1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2) Disconnect the connector from ECM.
3) Measure the resistance between ECM connector and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(B134) No. 56 — Chassis ground:
|
Is the resistance 1 MΩ or more?
|
|
Repair the short circuit to ground in harness between ECM connector and DPF pressure difference sensor connector.
|
3.CHECK POOR CONTACT.
Check for poor contact in ECM connector and DPF pressure difference sensor connector.
|
Is there poor contact in ECM connector or DPF pressure difference sensor connector?
|
Repair the poor contact of ECM connector or DPF pressure difference sensor connector.
|
Replace the DPF pressure difference sensor.
