INSTALLATION

CAUTION:

When replacing the ECM, be careful not to use the ECM with different specifications.

When inserting ECM harness connector, insert the ECM harness connector straight to the ECM connector.

After installing or replacing ECM, be sure to perform the step 5).

1. Be sure to check that ECM harness connector lock lever (A) is set to the unlock side.

2. Insert the ECM harness connector straight to the ECM connector.

3. Move the ECM harness connector lock lever until the lever is locked.

NOTE:

After connecting 81 pin connector, connect 40 pin connector.

4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Tightening torque:

7.5 N·m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

5. Perform operations according to the procedure below, depending on whether or not the ECM is replaced.

CAUTION:

This procedure must be performed.

 

Verifying fuel injector IDs and the fuel injector IDs registered in the ECM

Registering the immobilizer (refer to the “PC application help for Subaru Select Monitor”.)
