1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
2. Remove the collector cover.
3. Remove the intake manifold. 
4. Clean the suction control valve vicinity, and perform air blow.
5. Disconnect the connector for suction control valve.
6. Remove the suction control valve from fuel pump.
CAUTION:
• To prevent contamination by foreign matter, do not wear cotton work gloves during the procedures.
• To prevent the fuel pump and suction control valve from being damaged, do not use tools to remove the parts.
• Pull out horizontally only. Pulling out while turning may cause damage to the part.
• Do not hit the tool against the fuel delivery pipe and fuel return pipe.
• If the suction control valve is removed from the fuel pump, be sure to replace with a new part. Do not reuse.
(1) Loosen the suction control valve mounting bolts.
(2) Pull out the suction control valve horizontally from fuel pump.
(3) Visually check that the O-ring does not remain inside the fuel pump housing.
(4) Remove the large O-ring from the suction control valve.
CAUTION:
Do not remove the small O-ring from suction control valve.
