WARNING:
Place “NO OPEN FLAMES” signs near the working area.
CAUTION:
• Be careful not to spill fuel.
• Catch the fuel from hoses and pipes using a container or cloth.
• Always cover the ends of disconnected hoses and pipes with a plastic bag so that foreign matter does not get into the fuel system.
1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
2. Disconnect the hoses from the fuel filter assembly.
3. Disconnect the harness connector of the fuel filter assembly.
4. Remove the mounting nuts of the fuel filter assembly.
5. Remove the fuel filter assembly making sure that it does not tilt.
6. Drain fuel from the drain plug.
7. Disconnect harness from the fuel filter protector, and remove fuel filter assembly from the protector.
