INSPECTION

1. UNIT INSPECTION

1. Measure the resistance between the connector terminals of the boost control valve.

Standard:

10 — 14 Ω

2. Connect the hose to (A), and check that air does not come out of (B) when blowing in the hose.

3. Connect the battery positive terminal to terminal No. 1 of the boost control valve connector and the negative terminal to terminal No. 2, and blow into (A). Check that air comes out of (B).

2. FUNCTION CHECK

1. Connect the Select Monitor to the vehicle.

2. Remove the collector cover.

3. Disconnect the vacuum hose (B) from the solenoid valve damper (A).

4. Start the engine.

5. Activate “Boost Valve Control” of the “System Operation Check Mode”, and make the specified value “0%”.

6. Check that air is not being suctioned by the disconnected vacuum hose.

7. Make the specified value “100%”.

8. Check that air is being suctioned by the disconnected vacuum hose.
