1. Set the vehicle on a lift.
2. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
4. Remove the intercooler stay.
5. Lift up the vehicle.
7. Remove the heat shield cover.
8. Remove the cable clamp and take out the MT gear shift cable from the clamp.

9. Remove the dust cover from transmission body.

10. Remove the snap pin and washer from the shift lever COMPL.

11. Remove the bolts holding the shift bracket.

12. Remove the shift bracket and MT gear shift cable as a single unit from the transmission body.

13. Remove the cable cover plate.
14. Disconnect the MT gear shift cable.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to deform the cable inner.
NOTE:
Pull out down the MT gear shift cable to spread the spring.

15. Remove the clamp which holds the MT gear shift cable.

16. Pull out the MT gear shift cable from cable cover assembly.
CAUTION:
• Do not bend the MT gear shift cable sharply.
• Be careful not to mistake the installing direction of bracket, when replacing the MT gear shift cable.
