CONTROL SYSTEMS > MT Gear Select Cable
CAUTION:
Do not reuse the MT gear select cable which removed from select lever COMPL.
1. Set the vehicle on a lift.
2. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
4. Remove the intercooler stay.
6. Disconnect the ground cable.
7. Lift up the vehicle.
8. Remove the transmission under cover.
10. Remove the heat shield cover.
12. Remove the cable clamp and take out the MT gear select cable from the clamp.

13. Place the transmission jack under the transmission.
14. Remove the mounting bolt of front crossmember and rear crossmember, and lower the transmission approx. 100 mm (4 in).
15. Remove the MT gear select cable from select lever COMPL by using flat tip screwdriver etc.
NOTE:
Using the protrusion of the transmission backward as a supporting point, pull it directly upward.

16. Remove the MT gear select cable and select bracket as a single unit from the transmission body.

17. Remove the cable cover plate.
18. Disconnect the MT gear select cable.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to deform the cable inner.
NOTE:
Push the MT gear select cable in the direction of arrow, and remove it.

19. Remove the clamp which holds the MT gear select cable.

20. Pull out the MT gear select cable from cable cover assembly.
CAUTION:
Do not bend the MT gear select cable sharply.
