INSTALLATION

1. GASOLINE ENGINE MODEL (EXCEPT FOR DUAL MASS FLYWHEEL TYPE)

1. Install the flywheel and ST.

2. Tighten the flywheel mounting bolts to the specified torque.

NOTE:

Tighten the flywheel attachment bolts gradually. Each bolt should be tightened to the specified torque in crisscross order.

Tightening torque:

72 N·m (7.3 kgf-m, 53.1 ft-lb)

3. Install the clutch disc and cover.

4. Install the transmission assembly.

2. DIESEL ENGINE MODEL (DUAL MASS FLYWHEEL TYPE)

1. Temporarily fix the flywheel to the crankshaft, attach the ST to the right side of the transmission mounting stud bolt, engage the ST with the flywheel ring gear and tighten the nut by hand until the nut seating surface contacts the ST.

CAUTION:

To tighten the flywheel attachment bolt, be sure to attach the ST to the right side of the transmission mounting stud bolt.

2. Tighten the flywheel attachment bolt to the specified torque, using the general tool (Bit holder socket (TORX® PLUS 55IP)).

NOTE:

Tighten the flywheel attachment bolts gradually. Each bolt should be tightened to the specified torque in crisscross order.

Tightening torque:

35 N·m (3.6 kgf-m, 25.8 ft-lb)

3. Tighten the bolts which was tightened in step 2) with specified angle.

CAUTION:

If the bolt is overtightened beyond the specified angle, replace the new bolt.

Tightening angle:

45°±5°

NOTE:

Using a piece of paper cut at 45° as a guide will make it easy to match the tightening angle.

4. Install the clutch disc and cover.

5. Install the transmission assembly.
