CAUTION:
• Nut for fixing the rack is on the driver’s side only. When removing the tie-rod on the passenger’s side, flip over the boot on the driver’s side and fix the rack during the operation.
• when fixing the gearbox in a vise, apply a wooden piece on the flange portion.
1. Remove the tie-rod end and lock nut from the gearbox.
2. Remove the clip on the outer side of the boot, and move the boot towards the tie-rod end.

3. Using a flat tip screwdriver, remove the band from boot.
NOTE:
Replace the boot if there is damage, cracks or deterioration.

4. Remove the tie-rod.
